| " I am very grateful to announce that "Boat In Belize" was voted best Album of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music at the Texas Music Awards show. I was quite surprised as there was considerable talent in all the Categories. Producer of the Year went to Lloyd Maines... (Natalie Maines-Dixie Chick father) so I feel privileged to have just been in the Nominees for Producer of the Year! & Entertainer of the Year went to my buddy Shake Russell and was very well deserved! I performed "Blame It On Buffett" during a TropRock segment featuring Kelly Brown & the Bad Monkees & Troy Allen, both were nominated for awards and the Bad Monkees did a great job backing Troy & me on our songs!!! Thanks again for your support in making "Boat In Belize" Album of the Year! " - Kelly |
